Issue Type: New Feature New Feature
Affects Versions: 1.1.0.CR1
Assignee: Unassigned
Components: spec-general
Created: 13/Mar/13 5:10 AM
Description:

Currently the spec prohibits configuration of parameter constraints on overriding methods in subtypes.

This requirement can pose a problem when interception technologies such as CDI create subclass proxies representing validated objects. As configuring the same constraints in a subtype method does not really represent a violation of LSV, I think we should allow this.

The same might apply to group conversions and marking return values for cascaded validation. Potentially also methods in parallel hierarchies, but as this does not influence the proxy case, we could leave it to impls to allow this.

Fix Versions: 1.1.0.CR2
Project: Bean Validation
Priority: Major Major
