Gail Badner commented on HHH-1501:
----------------------------------
Please try using 3.5.1 and map your property as a materialized_clob like:
<property name="longString" column="LONG_STR"
type="materialized_clob" length="MAX_LENGTH"/>
Replace MAX_LENGTH with the actual maximum length for the string.
The Hibernate type, "materialized_clob", is new for 3.5 (HHH-3892/HHH-4405) and
has not been documented yet. Documentation will added for HHH-4878. (That's on my TODO
list...)
If "materialized_clob" doesn't work, then please attach a test case that
reproduces your issue.
You may be able to update a test in
https://anonsvn.jboss.org/repos/hibernate/core/trunk/testsuite/src/test/j...
to reproduce your issue.
If you need to change the Derby dialect to get this to work, please attach a patched
version of the Derby dialect as well.
Thanks,
Gail
