The only catch that I see with breaking out the attributes is that for new
device types (aka Windows, Amazon, some new xyz), a code change here will be
needed.  I like not having to check the device type in my code in order to
populate the config.   I guess depending on the added device, you might have
to add unique attributes anyway.
