Note that this issue is wider than Weld Embedded. Even when using a remote container, such as jbossas-remote-60, you have the problem that the test execution request comes in through a custom Arquillian servlet. So still no JSF conversation scope. Now should the conversation scope be active on non-JSF requests. That's another story.
