Jozef Hartinger commented on CDI-265:
-------------------------------------

There are currently no visibility boundaries applied when resolving observers and delivering an event. Unless we change that we should state explicitly that the ServletContextEvent is only delivered to observers packaged in the appropriate web application.

> Specify the @Initialized(ApplicationScoped.class) event payload for an EAR with multiple WARs
> ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
>
>                 Key: CDI-265
>                 URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/CDI-265
>             Project: CDI Specification Issues
>          Issue Type: Clarification
>    Affects Versions: 1.1.EDR
>            Reporter: Martin Kouba
>            Assignee: Pete Muir
>
> The spec states:
> {quote}
> The event payload is:
> * the ServletContextEvent if the application is a web application deployed to a Servlet container, or
> * ...
> {quote}
> However this will not work for enterprise archives with multiple web modules (which ServletContextEvent would be the payload).
