I couldn't reproduce the shutdown.bat failure with version 1.3.4.CR2 but twiddle is still failing. Due to my inability set up a proper testing environment on Windows I was unable to find a cause yet.

I blindly tried to add the JAVA_HOME environment variable to the default environment that the scripts are executed with but this didn't change the behaviour of either of the scripts.
