Hi everybody,
i'd like to hear your thoughts about integration in a small-medium
business using jbossEsb.

The most common and widly accepted opinion is that using an ESB involves
a lot of overhead
so it should be used only in a large scale system and esb services
should be coarse grained.

I have deployed some little POJO services on my
jbossAS+jbossEsb+jbossPortal installation.
This server receives from various esb unaware sources a lot of messages
each of which correspond to
a web analytics event that trigger the execution of a data warehouse
management POJO service.
On the same system i'm running two (not havy loaded) portals and the
whole set up runs pretty quick.

So i'm wandering what problems may arise continuing on this frequently
discouraged direction and
i'd like to hear your thoughts about using this architecture designed
for large systems in a completely different environment.

Can jbossEsb work fine in a small business?

bye
Paolo
