Hey David,

Thanks for reporting this. Unfortunately I can't seem to reproduce this issue here. Is it possible that you've customized your ~/.m2/settings.xml or that you're behind a proxy?

If you've customized the settings, try resetting them to defaults, and if you are behind a proxy, you'll need to use the forge-proxy configuration: http://forge.jboss.org/docs/using/configure-proxy.html
