this is me being stupid and blind and now punished for not testing properly ;)

Fixed now - please try latest master. (also reported in https://github.com/forge/plugin-hibernate-tools/issues/4)

Just don't use the default DAO's provided by hibernatetools - those are ancient/never-intended-for-real-usage ;)
