Indeed, it's not exact  http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GROOVY-3054 but it's a similar problem. Basically the name must be a binary name as defined by the Java Language Specification.

I committed an unit test and a temporary fix for this, then see if it would be fixed by Groovy's provider ( http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GROOVY-4020 )
