Documentation for "Dynamic Navigation" for CLV and SCV is not consistent

The documentation[1] for Dynamic Navigation in CLV and SCV is not consistent. 

The path URL send as parameter to the page that contains the portlet CLV or SCV must be encoded for the CLV portlet but not for the SCV.

It's is not described in documentation. Please can you modify the documentation to describe it or use a standard to this parameter value(always encoded or not)?
