Hi Matt,

I gave another try to the login page, I'll save it as an attachment in the next comment. Can you please review it? When it's fine and finished, I'll make a pull request to your mobile fork. The blue form header is now less detailed, if we want to make it the same as before, I can try to extract the pattern from original image.

However, I'm not clear about some of the rules:
1, Any ideas what's the most sophisticated way how to do it? I've found this http://www.broken-links.com/2010/06/14/using-svg-in-backgrounds-with-png-fallback/, but I don't like that the bitmap is showed on the page anyway - covered with svg.
3, not really sure what this is for, if you have some jquery plugin/javascript lib/article discussing this, please share.

For the record:
* The registration portlet has ugly HTML markup, too. I should rewrite it after login screen is finished.
* Nice presentation for everyone interested in responsive design: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6z7vpgkCZw
* Page for previewing the page in several sizes at once (works with localhost): http://mattkersley.com/responsive/
