After looking at the details with [~rutlucas], we decided to do nothing for now. We could find that EAP 5.3.0.ER3 (of March 2014) is using cache 3.2.12.Final and jgroups 2.6.22.Final, but those two versions are not available in public maven repos. The difference against the versions in the present 3.8.x branch is only in the micro version number, hence the upgrade should be trouble-free at the productization stage.
