+1 I would love to see this finally happening. There were several discussions 
over time on whether and when it should be done. I think there was a general agreement
that it makes sense to merge the modules, but afair there were always some technicalities
which were preventing us to do it. ORM 6 seems to be a good point in time to just do it.
