The current implementation is intended to cover simple cases like _file_, _http_, _ftp_ which are supported by all JVMs. There is no claim to cover all protocols. I think it makes more sense to have specific constraint for that, maybe offering different/better configuration depending on the protocol type. Contributions are always welcome :-)
