2.7 is bad bad bad, don't use it ! And not supported either...

To answer your question: 2.7 had a built-in bundler that wasn't 
configurable.

Probably yes, but this hasn't been tested. The Infinispan team made some 
changes to accommodate JGroups 3.3 in Infinispan 5.3, and using the new 
bundler with an older Infinispan version may or may not work. I don't 
recommend it
