<p>what do you mean by "distribution package"? I see failing tests just running "mvn clean test" for the core module only, I never had core built succesfully w/o disabling tests.</p>

Those tests are flaky and fail occasionally; I need to look at refactoring them. As long as the other tests run clean you should be good.<br>
