suggestion, but for simplicity's sake I'll go with Ickle.
That involves far less explaining, just in case anyone asks me
what the name means :) Occam wins again!
Wait a second.. Occam could have been a pretty good option too ...
So far we have: IQL, Ickle, QuIL, YAQL, LQID, INAQL,
INQL, WTF, NSFW, KMFDM.

I do not like acronyms that are not straight forward.
They should really be the initials of the simplest
description of what the thing is. In this case the
acceptable one would be : Infinispan Query Language
=> IQL. Unfortunately this seems to mean different
things to different people. So let's forget about
acronyms and go with ... Ickle [1][2][3],
proposed by Tristan.
A very respectable bearded fellow once said: "There are
only two hard things in Computer Science: cache
invalidation and naming things." So let's use this as an
excuse and dare to (maybe) settle on a less than perfect
name :). At least it is a damn cute one.

Thanks Tristan for the name!
Cheers!

Hi all,
something trivial and fun for a Monday morning.
I've just issued a PR [1] to update the codename for Infinispan 9.0.
And while we're at it, let's give a name to the new query language that
Adrian (and Emmanuel) have designed. We already have a number of
suggestions (which I summarize below) but please feel free to add your
own. Please vote.
IQL (Infinispan Query Language, already used by others).
Ickle (Alternate pronunciation of above, also means "small")
LQID (Language for Querying Infinispan Datagrids)
QuIL ("Query Infinispan" Language)
