[jboss-dev-forums] [Design of EJB 3.0] - Does the EJB deployer only deploy jars?

I am trying to deploy a directory of classes with META-INF/persistence.xml into embedded jboss. It seems as though the EJB deployer will only deploy the EJBs if I package them as a jar first.

Is this correct? 

Is there any way to deploy a directory instead?
