What about cancelConnection, cancelLease..... ???

Or... 

clearConnection... clearLease...


The idea would be to disable the socket (or clearing it... cancelling it) without performing a server communication.


And... just to reinforce... can you guys remove those throw java.lang.Exception from the code?
