If I introduce the name compare - _after_ the transitive closure build - the actual DeployerFlowUnitTestCase.testIntermediateIsRelativelySorted test creates a cycle. :-)

A is after C on inputs/outputs.
B is after A lexicographically,
C is after B lexicographically.
