<div class="jive-rendered-content"><p>I just removed the discussion of "compensating operations" from this article, as this feature will be removed in 7.0.0.CR1. The "compensating-operation" was a field returned in the response that would tell the user the operation to invoke to reverse the effect of the operation that generated the response.  Providing this information added significant complexity and fragility without any concrete use case.</p></div>
