Boleslaw Dawidowicz commented on JBPORTAL-1732:
-----------------------------------------------

I'm asking about LDAP because I know that in MSAD you authenticate providing DOMAINNAME\USERNAME which doesn't mean that user entry looks like that.

Thomas. So you are saying that portal DB configuration doesn't handle properly user names that contain backslashes?

> In our LDAP directory, the usernames are prefixed with the domain name followed by a backslash followed by the username.
> ie. DOMAIN\username
> I get the following error while changing the roles of such a user. Clearly, the backslash is interpreted as-is ans creates an escaped character.
