Brian Stansberry commented on AS7-1365:
---------------------------------------

A writable attribute can be set up to support an expression -- jvm-route="${jvmroute}" -- so don't let concerns about each node having a different configuration affect your thinking on this kind of thing.

But, your comment re: pushing users to mod_cluster answered my primary question about not wanting this to be user-configurable in the future. If the web team doesn't want to make this a user-configurable attribute over the long term, I'm not going to push to add it to the management API.

Re: the name, I agree!!! But, however named, I think this concept (an id for the back end server used by a LB), will still exist in the long term, right? And admins are going to want to query a server to find out what that is. So if there isn't already a well-named attribute in the appropriate place in the management API that provides that info, one should be added. If one is already there, please ignore this paragraph. ;)
