Operation remove just undeploy a queue/topic but all messages and subscriptions(in case of topic) are still there. So if queue/topic with the same name is deployed again then it contains messages and subscriptions as before calling remove. 

There is also operation remove-messages which with operation remove would provide destroy-queue. But I'm afraid that there is no operation for deleting subscriptions in case of topics.
