Pointing to the bin/ directory that contains the .class files in aspect.jar made no discernable difference. One thing I may have failed to mention is that our controller class is also proxied at run-time by Spring AOP for declarative transaction management. Could there be something going on between JBoss AOP and the Spring AOP transaction advice?
