why do you think it is due to the swimlane? The 'trigger' myight be the use of a swimlane, but that could cause an xml thing to be used (permgen errors are afaik in a lot of cases  caused by using a lot of small java objects, like xml has). Maybe you do something special in the swimlane? Still then we have no way of finding that out, unless you profile theserver. 

Regarding the parameters... use google.....
