Fixed.  Issue in my code, although pretty much impossible to diagnose since the jboss code only passes up the exception message as it catches, wraps and throws, and doesn't include the cause exception as a nested exception, so you can't get a stack trace.

I'll probably file a JIRA bug on that, as it makes debugging issues very difficult.
