This login that you mention, is this for logging into a database when a connection is made? Or is it for logging in a user when the user accesses an application? If the later, then you probably want to develop a custom login module and add it to the server/xxx/conf/login-config.xml file. Examples of login modules can be found at security/src/main/org/jboss/security/auth/spi in the source.
