[jboss-user] [JBoss Seam] - reading properties from seam.properties file??

is it possible to store key value pairs in the seam.properties file?  does it always need to be blank?

I need to be able to identify my application so that I can use the name or id to perform a db read to get a list of all menu names applicable for the user with whatever role/access they have.

any recommendations on an easy way to identify my app?  thx.
