Your libs are messing up with jsf and el libraries from JBoss Portal deployment or newer jsf libs of tomcat. This is how classloader in JBoss AS works. I can see two sollutions for you. Improve your application to run with any libraries around or set a scoped classloader repository for your package to separate from Portal deployment but it might cause other issues depending on your app.
