Thanks Thomas, it worked.

Edit: portal-core-sar/conf/data/default-object.xml
and change the if-exists value at the top from keep to overwrite.

NOTE: This will re-initialize your database. At least it did mine: I lost all my pages and the install default pages were recreated. I don't know how this will affect data in the CMS portlet.
