[jboss-user] [Management, JMX/JBoss] - deployed webapps monitoring

I all,
I have several applications that are deployed in jboss. I want to be able to make alert (email or jms notifications or just logging).
I'm thinking about creating MBeans that will repeatedly make call to applications and send alerts if the response is not correct.

I'd like to know if someone has done something similar to this.
