Yes, I'm running linux, sorry.

DNS should not be an issue here, I can reach the server from the test-client.  The server is listening on 0.0.0.0:1099, I can even reach the interface with telnet on the respective port (okay, I got thrown out immediatly, but I can connect).

What else should I check?
