I had similar problem after migrating my app to 4.2.2 from 4.0.4.
It seems to me that compared to http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=ConfigJBossMDB in 4.2.2 the default strictTimeout on Standard MDB chnged from "forever" to 10 s.

I add forever to tandard Message Driven Bean container configuration in standardjboss.xml which solved my problem.
