I followed this thread and removed jaxws-rt.jar and jaxws-tool.jar from JBOSS_HOME/client and copied xercesImpl.jar from JBOSS_HOME/lib/endorsed and it solve the problem for me.

BTW, what are the minimum jars needed on the client to run a webservice? Thanks.
