Dunno about 5.0 but in 4.2.3 I had noticed that simply changing the name of the partition in clustering-service.xml was the wrong way to do this, as many other systems use the jboss.partition.name variable.

So when I, instead of setting it in the clustering-service.xml, rather set JAVA_OPTS with -Djboss.partition.name=[whatever] everything worked again.
