You've lost me.  All I do in AS Main is pass the CL to the bootstrap impl.

ClassLoader newCl = new URLClassLoader(allTheStuffInBootLib);
  | Server server = ServerFactory.createServer(newCl);
  | Thread.currentThread().setContextClassLoader(newCl);
  | server.start();

What are you proposing should be done instead?
