Hi Christian,
  It is strange for me. I have changed both of your projects to use hsqldb. When I execute jbpm43, there are a lot of warning in the console, told me that the hsqldb can't support higher transaction isolation. But there is no warning for jbpm32.
  Are you using the same example to test  jbpm32 and jbpm43?
