I'm not sure that absolute path is working in that version of archives, but you can use any path started without "/" as path related to yor project root folder. Let say  attribute packages/package at todir in .packages has value "build". It makes archves builder to create "build" folder in root folder of your project and put all the built archives in it. Then sure you can move them to another location.
