First of all, please avoid hijacking other people's thread 
 
Secondly, as you already know, there's an issue with Hibernate 3.3.1 and evictAll calls when using JBC as 2LC (http://opensource.atlassian.com/projects/hibernate/browse/HHH-3818). Workarounds? Either, get the http://anonsvn.jboss.org/repos/hibernate/core/branches/Branch_3_3/, build it and use that, or use JBoss 6.0.0.M1 that uses Hibernate 3.5.beta2 that includes a fix for that issue.
