There were problems with macosx platforms in beta1, could you try to add  http://download.jboss.org/jbosstools/updates/requirements/xulrunner-1.9.1.2 http://download.jboss.org/jbosstools/updates/requirements/xulrunner-1.9.1.2 update site in list of update sites, check the "Contact all update sites .." in update dialog and try to install JBT again from development update site?
