If it is version 4 then all you need to do is to create an empty schema. 
Change the corresponding details in jbpm_home/install/jdbc/<your-db>.properties. 
Change the parameter 'database' in jbpm_home/install/build.xml
And then run ant script demo.setup.jboss/demo.setup.tomcat.
