Yes, adding...

<install method="addIgnored">
    <parameter>java.lang.reflect.MalformedParameterizedTypeException</parameter>
</install>

...to scanning-deployers-jboss-beans.xml solved (or at least hid!) the problem. Perhaps this should be added by default?
