Hi, 

Our application is deployed on JBoss AS 4.2.3 which runs on windows server 2003 + database (sql server 2005) is also in the same machine. The processor in the machine is Xeon (2.80 GHz) and it has 3.75 gb of RAM. 

There are couple of processes that we need to run manually but the problem is when we run them 100% of the cpu gets used and whole system becomes unresponsive, only way to make the application work again is to restart. But this processes needs to be run almost daily 2-3 times a day. 

What can be done to solve this problem.

Is this the system hardware issue??

What is the ideal hardware requirement for servers that get about 300-500 traffic in a day.
