deployment of *-ds.xml files is not recommended in AS7 (except for developer environment).
You should have a look to the  https://community.jboss.org/docs/DOC-16657#Installing_a_JDBC_driver_as_a_module wiki or  https://docs.jboss.org/author/display/AS72/DataSource+configuration documentation.
