<div class="jive-rendered-content"><p>Hello, </p><p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"> </p><p>I wanted to create a ddl file using hibernate. This already works a charme when I let hibernate create my database directly by configuring the <span style="font-family: 'courier new', courier;">hibernate.hbm2ddl.auto</span> in the <span style="font-family: 'courier new', courier;">persistence.xml</span>. But I also need those ddl statements in a file.</p><p>Surprisingly there is no simple property to add to the <span style="font-family: 'courier new', courier;">persistence.xml</span> like there is for EclipseLink. </p><p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"> </p><p>Searching for the simplest solution to get this done I installed hibernate tools for Eclipse (using the update site). But right after restarting Eclipse it is complaining about a class that it can not find: </p><p><span style="font-family: 'courier new', courier;">java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/jboss/tools/common/java/IJavaMemberReference</span></p><p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"> </p><p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">This is the first of a series of errors that come up.
