On Hibernate.org we use these logs to nail down missed redirect rules: it's a better option as in this case you have one single "manual" report but you don't really know how many other mistakes there might be. Or you can do as in http://hibernate.org/some_gibberish (where some_gibberish is a broken link), the JIRA form it opens there will populate some hidden fields containing the referral information and more browser details.
