there is a checkbox in the eclipse toolbar to toggle the breadcrumb  
(the icon with a "c" and a right arrow in the screenshot)
If the checkbox is not there, "Customize Perspective" > "Tool Bar  
Visibility" tab > "Editor Presentation" > "Toggle Breadcrumb".
