Sounds about right, though I'll be honest.. I'm unsure of the consequences of removing the dependency on common component, is that dependency only in place because of WTP dependencies in the JSP editor ?
Marshall,

do you ask us to add one more level to class hierarchy, so you can use it as parent without unnecessary dependencies?

Also if you saking to make it in org.jboss.tools.wst.html, that means to create new component that is org.jboss.tools.wst, that would depend only from org.eclipse.wst.sse and be decoupled form common component.

Is that right?
Do you want propose a patch? :)
Hey guys..

Another suggestion. I've been browsing around the source of org.jboss.tools.jst.jsp, and I think JSPMultiPageEditor could easily be renamed/refactored into a "org.jboss.tools.wst.html" plugin without the current "JSP" nomenclature as something like "HTMLMultiPageEditor". I'm looking to create my own templates/editor based on this code (for Appcelerator's widgets & javascript), and it would be awesome if I could do so without requiring unnecessary dependencies (like JSP templates/support code)
